Introduction

Cerbere is situated immediately adjacent to the Spanish Border and is the most southerly village in France.

It is part of a string of four villages lining this rocky part of the pyrenean foothills, the most famous of which is Collioure, well know for its art colonies and expensive housing.

Although property prices in Cerbere have traditionaly been lower, in recent years they have risen quickly as the area is served by much improved transport links.
